Let there be Hope and let there be Light!

Hope and Light is a new start. However, its long time in the making. After a couple of iterations, we have renewed this with the hope to take it all the way. Children are the living messages we send to a time where we will not see.” as said by Neil postman. Every child and young person has the right to live a life free from any form of violence, and deserves to grow up in a safe, peaceful, nurturing and enabling environment.

Children who are raised in a unstable environment will demonstrate worse academic and social outcomes, and lower vocabulary skills. They also tend to have more behavioral and psychological problems. These types of environments cause the brain to grow up differently.

There are already many NGOs in India working towards the welfare of children. In 2020, GuideStar India (GSI) had more than 10,000 verified NGOs and more than 1,600 certified NGOs on its portal. There are also 100,873 NGOs registered on the ‘NGO Darpan’ Portal of Nitti Aayog. Many NGOs are doing phenomenal work in supporting the government welfare schemes and helping in delivering basic services like health care, education, water, and sanitation to the most remote locations in the country.

These NGOs are our role models. Our vision to work in the space of children education and build successful partnerships with the existing NGOs to help reach further. We must come together, in spirit and in action, to promote the idea of a harmonious world for our children.
