Hope and Light Mental Health Advocacy

Along with our scholarship education programs, Hope and Light Organisation has been actively supporting children’s mental health. Over the past few years, we’ve hosted multiple "Spread the Joy" events in orphanages such as Sampattu, Child Fund Association, and Desire Society — creating warm, happy spaces where kids can laugh, and play. These events are filled with games, music, art, and storytelling, but the deeper purpose is to help children feel seen, loved, and reminded that their emotions matter.

We’ve also partnered with BYJU’S to provide digital learning support by delivering tablets to young girls, helping them continue their education and explore new opportunities through technology. ðŸ‘‰ Read the blog for more details on our Spread the Joy events.

Latest Initiative: It’s OK Not to Be OK

Our newest initiative at Hope and Light Organisation is called It’s OK Not to Be OK — a reminder we believe everyone needs to be heard. This program is all about giving women and children the space to talk honestly about how they feel. Life comes with its ups and downs, and feeling stressed, sad or overwhelmed is completely normal. It doesn’t make anyone weak.

Through this initiative, we’re encouraging open conversations and emotional support in places where people should feel safe — homes, schools and the community. We want women and children to know that speaking up about their feelings or asking for help is a sign of strength, not something to hide.

Our mission is simple — to break the stigma around mental health and remind everyone that no one has to struggle alone. Healing begins with acceptance, and we’re here to say loud and clear that it’s truly OK not to be OK.

In pursuit of this goal, the blog Notes to Young Kids (https://www.notestoyoungkids.blog) explores the intersection of mental health and personal growth, offering insights, support, and inspiration for anyone seeking emotional strength and inner balance.
