Spread the Joy - Support to Swanthana Orphanage

The Swanthana orphanage (http://swanthana.org/) houses female children who are mentally challenged or physically handicapped which makes them incapable of self care. Presently, they house around 48 girls between the ages of 1 to 20 years. Swanthana provides 24/7 nursing care, education, medical assistance, and nutritional care for these children.

It was a privilege to meet the sisters and understand the details of the orphanage. The care with which the sisters and the staff handle the children is commendable and inspiring. H&L has provided the orphanage with financial support, and further plans to also raise in-kind donations such as provisions and diapers for them.
